CUISINE WEEK

During the course of this week we learned how to make 3 things;
Greek and chinese salad
Kasui
strawberry mouse

learning how to cook was just as fun as learning how to cook with others. It was a whole new experience having fellow amature cheifs compete to see who would make the better dish.

Balwadi Fun day

For this day, our whole class put together all the money form out bake sales and put this event together. It was beyond tiring. I helped with managing the money ang buying all the gifts and calling the magician and the men to get us a bouncy castle. we all also spent hours wraping the prizes which took about 2 days. It was all worth it when we saw how happ the kids were on this day.

The long hours spent on putting it together seemed like nothing. I am greatful to have gotten to be a part of their happiness.

SUPW trip

We went to Mukteshwar where we all had to come together and build a water harvesting tanks for the people over there and paint the walls of a school. It was really cold and we all worked extremely hard but it was an amazing experience and we all had alot of fun putting the tank together. It was challenging for all of us. The people were very happy to see how hard we were working for them. Even with a slight fever and a cold al of us were willing to go and finish the work before we had to leave. It was also a great bonding time for our class as a whole.I wish i could do it all over again.

BAKE SALES

I organized four consecutive bake sales in the sports week in order to raise funds for the Balwadi Children's fun day. I gave everyone a particular task or a list of food stuff to bring in order for these sales to work out. I made a batch of 24 cupcakes for each of these days and they sold for quite a bit. We made approximately Rs.5000 each day. Managing the money and all the hungry people demanding food when we were sold out was not as easy as i though it up to be but the sales were a success and we hope to have raised enough money to have a fantastic fun day for the kids. It is really important to us that we make this day special for these children so we worked really hard on these sales and plan to have more sales soon so we can raise more money.
